Head Start Program / Early Head Start Program/NC Pre-K Program
Head Start is a national program that promotes school readiness by enhancing the social and cognitive development of children through educational, health, nutritional, social and other services to enrolled children and families. Our program provides comprehensive services to expectant mothers, infants, toddlers and preschool children. The program serves eligible families in Rowan and Davidson Counties (NC). The program promotes the well-being of children and their families by creating trusting and positive relationships that encourage parents to become engaged in the early development and learning experience.
Additionally, Community Action provides early childhood education classes funded through the North Carolina Pre-K program (formerly ‘More at Four’) in Rowan County.
